The 7 Valleys is a Persian poem, originally written by Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar in the 12th Century AD, and reworked in the 19th Century by the mysticMírzá Ḥusayn-ʻAlí Núrí, also known as Baháʼu'lláh. The journey through the 7 Valleys takes the reader to a place and state of being, similar to that which is promoted in the Tao Te Ching, the classic work in Chinese literature. For the Chinese, this state is named 'Wu Wei', or non-doing - going with the flow, often misunderstood as laziness, but a place where nothing is left undone and appropriate action, is always fulfilled. Through the 7 Valleys we move towards a recognition of the timelessness and universality of our essential self.
In this workshop, we will journey through the 7 Valleys with discussions and exercises that help the seeker embody and anchor their way through progressive stages. For each of us, there will be an opportunity for insights, re-connection or stronger connection with our inner wisdom, our truth, our soul-self.
